A toast with Water in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

These photos were from a quick weekend getaway to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Jackie and I were in PR for the NALMCO Convention and KimLe joined us from Chicago.

We stayed at a Martha Stewart endorsed resort, the El Conquistador.  Hotels.com hooked us up w/ an ocean view room for a garden view price.

If it is good enough for Martha, it’s good enough for me!

On the second night, we went to a bioluminescent bay.  This unique bay contains up to 700k single-celled dinoflagellates per gallon of water. These half-plant, half-animal organisms emit a flash of bluish light when agitated at night. We were fortunate enough to have a cool guide that let us swim in the bay, each wave through the water with our hands was like a scene out of the matrix. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Puerto Rico!
