300k reduction at Brightwater Huntington Beach

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Looks like the brightwater project has just reduced their prices by 300k.  Their “Cliffs” home used to be marketed at “starting from 2 million.” Today the price has been adjusted to 1.7 million.  Another 1 million dollar reduction, and maybe I can afford one!

Chaos reported at toy stores in Compton

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

CNN.com reports:

Millions of Chinese-made toys have been pulled off shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful “date rape” drug when ingested. Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads — marketed as Aqua Dots in the United States.

Riots were reported at various Compton toy stores today between drug dealers and store clerks.  When news broke out this morning, drug dealers headed straight to toy stores in an attempt to track down the products.  Many were able to get away with products, but as the news started spreading in, store managers and clerks started to crack down on selling the products.

Be safe, avoid taking kids to toy stores, and if you have to go pack heat.

Congrats Lequesha and Wictor!

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

I just got back from the beautiful wedding of Lequesha and Wictor.  It was held at Compton’s PAR 3 Golf Course with a beautiful ceremony and reception.  The food was to die for! The 3 course buffet included:

Starters: Imitation shark fin soup (Yao Ming might have swore it off, but us Compton-ians still eat it.)

Main Course: Roscoes Chicken and Waffle (catered from the Inglewood location)

Desert: Sprinkles cupcake (Not from the Beverly Hills location, but Lequesha’s grandmother bought the William Sonoma batter mix, and baked it herself all last night) GO LEQUESHA’s GRANDMOTHER! You GO GIRL!

Not only can Lequesha’s grandmother bake, but she can also sew.  The above photo does not do justice for Lequesha’s wedding dress, as one needs to check out the attention to detail in real life. She sewed the entire dress in 2 weeks!  I have to say it again…..GO LEQUESHA’s GRANDMOTHER! You GO GIRL!

So I know you are probably wondering how the bride and groom ended up with such unique names, but were scared to ask. No worries! That’s the whole purpose of this blog.  Both Lequesha and Wictor were children of immigrants in the late 70’s.  They knew that Compton had a centralized location, and decided to settle here.  When Lequesha’s mother was pregnant, she was going to name her unborn child Ling-Ling if it were a girl and Lu-Ping if it were a boy.  Sadly, one day when she was walking home from the store, she was attacked by a thug.  A man saw the pregnant mother being attacked and rushed to her side.  He scared off the thug, and rushed her to Compton Memorial Hospital.  Being so grateful, she asked him to name her unborn child.  Being humbled, he politely declined, but the stubborn pregnant mother demanded he name her unborn child.  He decided to meet her half way, saying if it were a boy, she would keep the name Lu-Ping, since he understood that a boy as a first-born child is highly desirable in Chinese culture. If the baby were a girl, she would get the name Lequesha.

When Wictor’s mother was pregnant, she and her husband were at the market purchasing some carrots.  Wanting their child to assimilate quickly, they decided to give their child an American name.  While at the cash register they saw a baby name book, and picked it up.

The first named that popped out was “Victor” and they agreed on that name.  After the mother gave birth, the father was filling out the birth certificate and accidently wrote down a “W” instead of a “V” and this is how Wictor got his name.

EDIT -

I have been receiving a lot of questions regarding why the wedding was on a weekday during lunch.  3 reasons.

  1. It’s cheaper to have a weekday wedding compared to a weekend wedding.  Compton citizens don’t splurge.
  2. Park officials get rid of drug dealers on Monday morning, so you will notice most Compton weddings are on Tues-Thurs.
  3. It’s not safe to have night time weddings, as gang members might do drive-by’s.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

A big “blow” to Compton

21,000 packets… 23.5 Tons of Cocaine… Worth $400 Mil - Seized in Mexico

Mexican authorities have made what they say is one of their largest drug seizures after finding 23.5 tons of cocaine at the port of Manzanillo.

This is definitely sad news for Compton. I would assume half of Compton’s economy is the import and distribution of blow. I’m starting to think this is a conspiracy theory as the feds keep on trying to keep our main product out of our city. This is why Compton has a high poverty rate! It’s the Feds holding us down. Release our products!

My adopted child - Irene

Monday, November 5th, 2007

A few months ago, I found an abandoned child named Irene on the streets.  She was filthy, being the good samaritan I am, I pulled over I took her in.

Here is a before picture.  Notice how dirty her face is, and how fast she was eating her food.

After feeding her for a few months, teaching her how to act proper (meaning how one would act if they lived west of the 110 and south of the 91) Here is an after picture.  Notice, the face after the filth is removed, and she is eating her food more slowly.

Fast forward to now, she’s completely assimilated into the white culture, living in San Diego and a model for a major sports magazine.  GO IRENE!

The Walgreens Lawsuit

Pink - Just like a pill
I’m lyin’ here on the floor where you left me
I think I took too much
I’m crying here, what have you done?
I thought it would be fun

I can’t stay on your life support, there’s a
shortage in the switch,
I can’t stay on your morphine, cuz its making me
itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again but shes
being a little bitch,
I think I’ll get outta here, where I can

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you’re just like a pill
Instead of makin’ me better, you keep makin’ me
ill
You keep makin’ me ill

I just heard from an up and coming pharmacist that Walgreens is about to get their socks sued off. Apparently a gentlemen went to the pharmacy to pick up some birth control pills for his girlfriend. He is claiming that he wasn’t properly consulted, and his girlfriend is now pregnant. The pharmacist didn’t make it clear to him that his GIRLFRIEND was supposed to take the pills, not him. DOHHHHH!!!!!
